Has anyone undertaken a manual to auto conversion before?..is it particularly troublesome on an m20?.
Thanks in advance.

IIRC, it's been done at least once before on here. Shouldn't be any problems - just a matter of fitting the bits that get removed when doing the more common auto to manual conversion in the main.
The only obstacle I can think of, if fitting the EH transmission, is you'll need to source and fit the 'double' TPS on the throttle body, plus add the extra bit of engine loom, if using the existing manual loom.
As with all conversions, a complete donor car at hand is the easiest way.

thanks Brian, a donor swop was on my mind also. It sounds involved, but logical. Any known differences betwen pre and post facelift auto boxes and associated gubbings?..mine is a 89 Cabby (chrome).
