I want to upgrade to a 325 TB but am having problems finding the correct inlet hose

Image

I need one with the icv attachment like on the left hand picture, but with the extra brake servo(?) hose as in the right hand picture. Is such a thing available or am i better off trying to find an L shape icv, or failing that can i stretch my existing 2.0 hose to fit?

don't you just need the 325 inlet like on the right in the pic? I assume the AFM outlet is the same size on a 325 as it is on a 320?

I will have the part number at home as i bought one last year

Well, the T shape icv's are the same as the L shape, only it's shaped like a T! I don't know why there are 2 types but afaik they do exactly the same thing, and both shapes are available for 2.0 and 2.5.

To get the one you need, you need to find someone on here that has a 325i with the setup you need, ask for they're chassis number, and pop along to your dealers and order the part with they're chassis number, you will get the right part then.

there are 3 different shaped bellows listed so it is important to get the correct one and also the 320 is smaller diameter than a 325 but no difference in price.

I just used steel wool and metal polish on the casing and carb' cleaner for the inside. The picture is a bit flattering but it's fairly clean.

If you need a "normal" ICV mate, then I have one spare, but have never used it as it is part of a bag of goodies I got as a job lot.

Would have to wait until the weekend before I could be arsed to jump start the beemer and fit the spare ICV to test if it works.

Let me know if you are interestred.
cheers

Ok, i've just bought what i hoped was a 2.0 inlet manifold from the scrappy (it had what is definitely a 2.0 TB still attached) to grind out for the 2.5 TB upgrade. On getting it home and offering up the 2.5 TB, the holes match up, so i assume i've just bought a 2.5 inlet with a 2.0 TB  Is there no benefit at all from fitting this without porting the head?

Are the 2.5 and 2 litre manifolds the identical at the head side, bolt holes and the sizes of the port?

I believe that the 2.0 port size is smaller, and probably would cause problems if mated with a 2.5 inlet. I'm just getting impatient to get this mod' done, and having the wrong inlet manifold is a set-back :x

I'm in the same boat (or rather car). GSF have two Inlet Bellows B18385C and B18385D for the 325. Does anyone know if either of these match the criteria?
can i stretch my existing 2.0 hose to fit?
It's been done.

I don't think the bellow that i need exists  . I went to my (admittedly useless) dealer and he couldn't produce pictures of the 3 different types listed for the 2.5. Can anyone tell me if there is a bellow WITH the brake servo connector but for the T shape ICV??

why don't you lose the T shape ICV which is causing you all the grief dude and get one the same as mine?

Unless of course they are different in their respective function and a non-T shaped one would not run your car properly?

As said before, I have a spare ICV I can test and put in a jiffy bag to you?

OK mate, hang fire briefly as I need to test the one I have, which involves jump starting the E30 which has a flat battery & swapping over the spare ICV with the one on my car. I don't wanna sell you any rubbish mate

I have Paypal, so will PM you one done.

Gives me an excuse to sit in the garage blipping it

Datourer, don't rely on the pics on the ETK, as they are for illustration purposes only, they won't show the exact item you're looking for, good example is M-tec II door pods, even if you select 2 door, the diagram always shows 4 door pods.

There are 3 types of 325i inlet boot...ask you're dealer if they would be willing to order all 3 in to compare..

13 71 1 726 325
13 71 1 726 205
13 71 1 708 800

OK and this shows how much of a truly lazy mo-fo I am, just went out to the garage, can't be arsed clearing all the crap from up the side of the house to get the soarer upto the garage so I can get the jumper leads on the E30, which is covered in crap and the seats are growing mould on them

aaarrrggghh!

But the good news is I found the ICV after raking through bags of injectors and boxed of alternators and starter motors etc.

So I have not tested it, found the ICV and the rubber hose that goes to the throttle body also. So I propose I will post them to you, if it works then you send me the money. Just gotta trust a fellow zoner that's all.

How does that sound?
If you wanna see if the stealers can order the bits in to compare then no worries fella.
