Daz,my wheels are ET25 so does this mean you have to make up the difference with the spacer,ie ET30-ET25=5mm spacer/

Not 100% sure though mate

Should fit :bolt:

If not they would be close. As for what size spacers 6mm should take it to BBS offset of et24

A standard BBS is et24 and 7" wide. So yours are going to be 6mm closer to the strut due to the offset, and another 1/4" due to the extra width of the wheel.

That means the outer edge of the wheel will sit about where a standard BBS would, but you may have issues with clearance to the strut. I'd probably go for a 10mm spacer as it'd look better too.

Tyre width's probably going to be the deciding factor here... & if you do go with spacers, make sure they ain't cheap universal ones - hub-centric is the only way to go :thumb:

 for a while its gonna be 205x55x16 rears and 205x50x16 fronts

any idea where i can get spacers for a decent price??

with 10mm spacers would arch scrubbing become a problem??
im only going 40/40 drop

cheers

They're pretty narrow tyres for a 7.5 rim, so I'd guess you'll have no problems either with or without the spacers... I'm certainly not gonna guarantee anything though!

i think you may just get away with it, but its gonna be very close. i have 7.5" with et20 on the front and i reckon i have about 1cm gap between the wheel and strut by looks. so if yours are et30 thats gonna be tight. i'll double check in morning.

had a look today and it looks tight. looks as you may just have a couple of mm's, but mine is a 4 pot so i think the strut is thinner. so yep you will need spacers.

ok have had a trail fit and the fronts touch the calipers

so what size spacers??

the rears went on with no probs

but think it would look crap with front spacers and not rear so i guess i have too match the size of spacer front and rear??

am i right??

original wheels are et24 and 7"wide as we know

the azevs are 7 1/2"wide

so what size spacers do i need

someone help i dnt want to get wrong size and fook it up lol

will ten mm spacers be right?
and is it 10mm each side or ten mm overall?

cheers all

10mm spacers (that's each side) should do it; that's 6mm to cancel out the difference in offset & a tad extra because of the extra width of the wheel.

That'd be for strut-clearance issues though - if they're hitting the caliper, the design of the wheel comes into it; what shape they are inside (where the caliper's hitting it!). The only way to really know would be by inspection - does 10mm look to you like it'd be enough?

cheers lee
luckily i got somewhere cheaper :D http://www.performancedriven.co.uk/shop ... ?CatID=119

ziggy
the wheels are azevs and when i stick front on it will sit on the hud and bolt up but wnt turn
the shape on the rim seems fine curves round the caliper guard piece but just a little to tight for the wheel to turn
dnt think the strut was an issue but must admit i didnt really look as it started to rain

also p*ssed off as snapped a stud when refitting twaaaat

never mind all coming off for spring swap anyway

so ya reckon 10mm each side still cool?

I'd be surprised if it was the caliper that was fouling rather than the strut, but I really don't know what those rims are like...

If it bolts up ok & it is the strut that's fouling then yep, 10mm should do it :thumb:

Don't forget longer bolts! & make sure the spacers match the Centre bore on the hubs and on the wheels.

maybe this pic will help mate

look for the black scrape going round the rim just off from the hub
that mark is from the the guard that goes round the caliper

Strange! I'd still say 10mm spacers should sort you out though :thumb:
