Just about to order some bits from Cotswolds, one item on my list is a new sunroof seal.
Is it better to go for the two piece or single piece seal?
02 CIRCUL.SLIDING/LIFTING ROOF COVER GASKET L=2580MM 1 54121903725
or
03 FRONT SLIDING/LIFTING ROOF COVER GASKET L=930MM 1 54128106928 $39.83
04 REAR SLIDING/LIFTING ROOF COVER GASKET L=1650MM 1 54121906999 $60.21
I can't remember which one I took off my old one, binned it a while back.

The original would have almost certainly been two piece. I've never seen a single piece fitted to any E30, but it exists, so presumably was, and AFAIK the two are directly interchangeable.
The deciding factor will be the relative cost of the two - the sum of the two part pieces was considerably higher than that of the single, but that might not still be the case.
Be aware that if the reason for you wanting a new seal is to prevent water ingress into the cabin, you will be disappointed. There is a system of fixed and sliding gutters that keeps the cabin dry, and while the seal limits the amount of water reaching the gutters, it is not intended to be waterproof - it's main job is to prevent wind noise.

Thanks for the responses. The two piece seal is still considerably more expensive, not quite sure why to be honest!Brianmoooore wrote:The original would have almost certainly been two piece. The reason for the new seal is I have purchased a new sunroof panel as mine was too far gone, the old seal isn't pretty.
