How much is it going to cost?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can give me an approximate cost for a m52b28 swap into an e30 318i cabriolet.

With parts, fitted so including labour. Here in the UK so in £ would be nice. I appreciate we are talking about a gearbox, exhaust setup etc so quite a big job.

Depends how much you do yourself but if you do nothing and buy everything off the shelf from Dan for example, expect to pay about £2k for all the bits and 1.5k for labour, assuming 4 days work all in.

Worth paying a bit more to get a proper job done and perishable parts replaced whilst it's stripped

Wow so we are really talking £3.5k + all in?

I expected parts to be more like £1.5k max and perhaps <£1000 labour but hey ho.

Looks like I may end up going down the tuned m42 route instead.

Would love to do it myself but haven't got the competency at the moment to do what I believe is a relatively involved swap.

I maybe selling my setup soon, I could fit it also
