complete inners are totally different
check this link out , items 6 & 7 is what they look like
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... g=25&hl=26
The ad in that link says "inner wing repair panel outer section" which to me describes number 6 in the real oem link.
So when people go on about needing the rear inner arches taking out and welding which part on the Oem drawing are they referring to ?bss325i wrote:The ad in that link says "inner wing repair panel outer section" which to me describes number 6 in the real oem link.

Either part as they come as "halfs" inner and outer.
Inner is classed as where the shock bolts to the shell
Outer where the quarter panel/ exterior wheel arch joins.
Followed by a flange to weld to.
Both rot in various places

I put this first link up as I stumbled across a non gen part and some in here were being told about a back order with no known date from the dealer.
No one has said they are no longer made as far as I know .
The pattern part was posted to help the ones who are desperate. And the proper bmw one is as the real OEM link pic

I was over moon when I found a pair of what I thought were inner arches off eBay ( items 6 and 7 on real oem ) thinking they were enough to get the work done on mine not even knowing there was still another lot I still need to do it properly !!
I know the inners are going as there's a bastard hole on drivers side which u can see in the boot so now I need to find a pair of those as well !
I give up you'll see my for sale ad soon !
If I had the skill and confidence to tackle it myself I would but realistically it isn't going to happen nor would I tryst myself with any kind of cutting machineslideout318i20 wrote:Why ?
Just cut out the rot and weld a plate on.
The inner inner is easier to get hold of. Try BM miniparts and follow the site instructions
Do you really want to drive modern bland toss ?
Every time I think I ready and have all what I need something else comes up after a bit you get fed up and then modern bland starts to look like pam Anderson bathing in strawberry jelly !
