Just reading here that mellow man slider Richard Hawley had a Neon cab in 2003! He apparently used to drive it about t'Yorkshire Dales, top down, trying to breathe in inspiration for his many songs.
According to this, 'The Only Road' was written about his favourite driving road (Ribblehead Run, particularly the long straight past the train station as you head up towards the viaduct/Aldi roundabout); 'Who's Gonna Shoe Your Pretty Little Feet?' was about being unable to decide what to replace his worn Wanlis with (eventually he went for some Uniroyal Rainmasters from Birstall Tyres - sensible choice from established firm); 'Run For Me' was written one Sunday when it wouldn't start (fuse 11/fuel pump); and 'Darlin' was just an expression of his deep love of the thing (and includes the lines: 'You drive so sweet now / With your new DME relay now / Wish I'd changed it sooner now / Would've started better now / Darlin').
Amazing what turns up in old NMEs when you're clearing out the awnings.

My H35 was owned by Rolf Michael Hartge. Brother of Herbert Hartge and founder of Carlsson Tuning. Not a celeb and not really well known either.

We recognise this style of writing. How are the mats coming along. A lot of disappointed zoners waiting for them - me included. Mats? You've lost me there. Floor mats? I took them out and gave them a spray of Autoglym Interior last night. But you couldn't have possibly known that?

Go out and do some lines or donuts or zigzags. A little more constructive than your posts, perhaps?!
