Narrow minded doesn't come into it. I would always have a four door E30 over a two door, and prefer yet another door in addition to the four. To me, the proportions of the two door look wrong, but the fact remains that for two E30s in equal condition, and otherwise the same, the two door will be worth considerably more than the four door.

Indeed, they are slightly lighter, though not sure about significantly stiffer.

Some say the extra B-post makes the 4-door stiffer. I've owned a 4-door and three 2-doors, and couldn't notice much, if any, difference.

Two door cars have longer doors,so a bigger opening to twist compared to a more door.pony wrote:I thought 2 doors would be stiffer .... As more torsional rigidity .... maybe not ?
Back in the day,buyer's paid a premium for a 4 door E30!
In '89/90 a 318i C plate car was available locally for £3995,a similar age E28 520i was just £1500,guess which I bought?

I was going along the thinking no rear doors in 2 door so the rear is all 1 piece of metal
Forgot 2 doors have bigger front doors
Be interesting if someone knows the answer !
Four door E30s are just as good as 2 door E30s IMO

The car needs work in order for Old Colonel to be interested, especially the noisy top end which will put of most people.pony wrote:OP ignore what PacerPete and 4 door haterz say
