What do people think of Renault Clio V6 RWD Mid-engined :-) ?

Presumably has LSD :-) ?

Like a little supercar

Cool as f00k

Supposed to be tricky to handle on the limit

Future collectors cars !

a very good car.
most people will bang on about the poor turning circle! because it was mentioned on top gear or some other car show, however most have never been in one, let alone driven one.
2nd series was a better looker, and slightly more power.
engine is quite lazy, but a definite future collector's car.

As standard it has an open differential, although for lots of money you can upgrade it to a Quaife LSD.

I very nearly bought a mars red phase 2 back in 2008 when I lost use of my company car. They had just gotten to pretty much the cheapest they will ever be at that time for an immaculate car. I always wanted one until I drove it.

It was a one owner, full history car, with sub 20K on the clock and completely standard apart from a trick titanium exhaust.

Whilst it looked fantastic, it was a bit disappointing to drive. It didn't feel that fast to be honest after coming from a corsa vxr 888, the corsa also drove better and was more planted, not to mention a better interior. That's saying something when a Vauxhall is a nicer place to sit.

Ended up with a brand new civic type R instead, then chopped that in for a RS 250 Meganne.

I have always loved hot hatches, but alas since children came along there long gone now.

Back then the one I looked at was about £14K at a Renault dealer and was as good as new, just shows you how much they have appreciated in the last few years.

Not really that surprising when you look at its older sibling the R5 Turbo 2. Immaculate ones of those are selling for big money too.

The VW Beetle RSi which is roughly the same age as the Phase 1 would be a better buy as an appreciating asset. But they are very rare and were very expensive when new.

I was offered one for £5k about 5 years ago. Chap was leaving the island that day and was desperate to sell. Unfortunately I was 18 and didn't have a pot to p1ss in :(

Why are you so obsessed with having an LSD?

I like them to look at. Guaranteed future classic. I drove one and was ultimately a bit disappointed. I wouldn't sell the z3m for one.

I can confirm the steering lock is incredibly bad. We used to have one awkward ramp at work that a normal car could drive on fairly easily swinging hard one way then the other. Not a V6 clio! Wow.

I was working on these when they came out, the dealer I worked for delivered quite a few, hateful shite, with a nasty engine, I can remember doing looms on them when they were months old, along with the then New Laguna 2, oh the joy!!!!

But Trev, you've got sand in your fanny over a failed starter on a ten year old 5 Series.

Speak as you find etc, but the 2004 Laguna Dci I ran for a few months in 2012 was 100 times better than the E46 rubbish that followed. It's still going as well and has only had a new rad in the intervening 2 years. French crap etc etc. How much did you spend on your E39 in 2013/14? winkeye
