Awesome.
Although is always a calculation, what flywheel power/torque did it make?

Didn't think new spark plugs could make 20bhp difference ?

Pony my car had the original plugs from the factory that had done 60K. Combustion engines require Fuel and Oxygen to produce combustion what ignites the mixture? Spark plugs!
Forced induction cars require a fiercer spark because of the increased air volume/pressure and fuel volume. This is why the plugs were uprated and recommended by Andy @ Storm Developments the guy has a Doctorate of motor design and engineering you can always ask him.
These plugs are used on forced induction cars that require singular high intensity spark. They are Race plugs that can sustain higher temperatures and harder work cycle. More fuel burnt during combustion results in more power. Why do most race cars run two spark plugs per cylinder?

Ok thanks very much for explanation
I didn't even know race cars have 2 spark plugs.
Presumably to ignite more of the fuel / air mixture quick, reduce unburnt fuel and by igniting quicker maybe increase rpm ?
I didn't know Supercharged engines require fiercer spRk either till u explained it
So how much bhp increase does new plugs give on standard M20B25 typically

Santa pod yesterday, this was the second of three runs, (with Sam a virgin down the strip) 12.6 seconds crossing the line at 116mph!

Car of the show for me, looks like it's built properly!
I reckon it would be a 12 second car with the right start.

With all that power, if traction could be sorted (unlikely in an e30 and doubt the track was that well prepared) it should run low 11's.maxfield wrote:Car of the show for me, looks like it's built properly!

track was quite well prepped and lots of rubber to hook up to but you'll need sticky tyres. Road tyres don't like the surface at pod
this car will easily go into the 12's

Sorry about bringing this back from the dead, but what a fantastic example of how to modify an M3. I bet this would eat a few of those big power cossies out there.
What brake did servo did you end up using as the ESS inlet manifold looks to be a different size to the normal S54 one.
