Hi guys I getting a mtec1 sport dolphin grey low mileage all solid in usual areas no major rust some great service history just needs a wing and a good service and maybe a little paint also its a cat c just like to know what I should be paying for it[/quote]

to be honest i would avoid a CAT C car for obvious reasons

To be honest I was thinking the same but it has very minor damage and its solid and plenty of service where the car has been very well mantainded but thanks for the advice

From the minimal information you have given it is impossible to value the car.
Do some research by looking at ebay and autotrader to see what similar cars go for.
That will give you an idea of the value.
Then decide what it is actually worth to you.
E30s cost more than they are actually worth unless you are only interested in strippng them and sending them to China.

No bargain/low end tech 1 will be solid all over and just need a wing, can of worms will soon open up

When was the cat c recorded. If it was in the last few years then less damage is going to cause a cat c. If it was 20years again lost of damage is cat c. It's all about the value to repair vs the value of the car.
If someone keys your car and you go through vandalism on your insured fe 3 panels to paint and your a write of cause your e30(low spec) is worth peanuts so gets a cat c. Just a random example.
