Please someone help! Recently installed a m50 in my 318 vert (bought the engine already converted out of a e30) it has a red label 413 ecu it turns over but will not fire I have a feed to the ignition coils and the dme relay clicks when ignition is switched on but it will not spark! My solus pro diagnostic will not talk to it but it did before I did the conversion! I have no power to fuse 11 (fuel pump) but if I bridge the relay I can get the fuel pump to work (I have swapped the relay 4 a new 1) I have connected the green wires together under the glove box. I am really fustrated and at my tether with the thing! Someone on here must be able to help! a˜£ please!

green wire the thin one to power the ecu is not hooked up to the fat green one but beware there are two thin ones and you have to check which one has a power feed on turn over as its earth before it turns over then the relay makes it live 100%.

And she will start

are your earths right ?? not connected earth to a live at the batt terminal ?

Crank sensor plugged in? And test to see if its duff should read about 1200ohms off the top of my head for a good one. Mine was duff and wouldn't start untill about 10 turn overs and no power with foot flat to the floor and read over 2000ohms

There will be no power at fuse 11 if the crank sensor is duff. The engine ECU will not know that the crankshaft is turning when you engage the starter, so will not turn the pump on.
