Ok - i'll set one up - i've got lots of pictures - but the work will be completed by professionals - its off to be chemical dipped next month then the bodywork repairs -my inspiration is F88 JBU thought that was a fantastic restoration - and i hope to get mine to an as new standard.

well my sorry turd needed a re-shell quick time, And in stepped nelly to do the swap from a tech 1 into a touring shell that I had acquired from long term servicing. He was on a week off and new I did not have the time but needed the car and came good in that time. Could not have been more appreciated believe me despite any work or time that gone the other way. Nelly then decided to turn his own track touring in to a tech 1 touring which worked really well and inspired me to do mine. together we managed to finish both of them and have a very unique look. After on decided that M30 was the only way forward and then proceeded with a transplant with the help of several zoners in the way of wiring, custom prop making and just plain hard mussel work to get the conversion done in 2 days. I will always try and help where I can with others cars and will always expect the same back. Long live the zone, give and take what you can and keep the e30's alive.

^ Hey up neighbour

My story goes like this, I bought my first tech 2 sport after owning a daytona violet individual e34 525i sport. The e34 got me into bmw's but after purchasing the E30 sport I soon realised the shiny 'mint' car had some serious issues!

Long story short after spending a lot of time and money on the bodywork and mechanics I soon discovered it had some roof 'cancer issues' so i decided to shift it on, luckily at the time the hartge popped up for sale and thanks to the forum and the bad experience of the first tech 2 I knew exactly where to look and found myself a very straight rust free car and have owned it since 2008 and will probably never sell it.

If it wasn't for this forum I definitely wouldn't have been clued up enough to know where all the bodywork weak spots are on these cars and have also spent hours and hours using the search function along with help from other members diagnosing various things over the years.

Steve, do you know of any local regular gatherings/meets/events going on down this neck of the woods? There never seems to be any action going on around here...

only really the ones on FB, modified mansfield, notts car driver, modified car driver,
area 57 at worksop some times have the odd meet.

i think what the sport is back on the road (after winter) might look at getting a monthly meet for round here (notts, derby, south yorks, lincs) going if can get enough interest.

Cool dude! This year has been too hectic anyway and the e30 has only been out the garage a handful of times this year, hopefully next year I'll have a bit more spare time on my hands to mess with the car so count me in.
