Which side of the diff bush should it pass, to the front or to the rear of the car?
Thanks

Thanks

Its right above the diff cover give or take a inch , I think.....
I know one side has a bigger straight run to clear the petrol filler that aside the bar looks either the wrong way round or very bent!!
This from memory when I changed my AR rear bar bushes

Could be right if that is a compact or Z3 ARB. They mount behind the diff mount and the mounts are further back iirc. I "think" that it might end up through the diff brackets if mounted on an e30.
Not 100% sure yet.
Can you check the thickness of the bar and get some better picture of the bars run?

The bar was supposed to have come off a touring E30, are you saying it's from a different car?
Should I remove it when I fit my new springs and shocks this weekend?
What will happen if I leave it on?
Thanks

it looks like it is off the touring as its 13.5 (the same as mine)
You need to take it off and it will run in front of the diff mount.
if you look at your first pic it needs to turn 180.
if it still doesn't quite fit you have it the wrong way around if that makes sense.
(left hand side on the right hand side)

There is a longer straight part to clear fuel filler pipe.
That is on the right hand side, I unbolted the shock and some also remove the spring (careful with wheel off for the shock as I found out!)
So yes would be good to do same thing as springs etc once they are removed then fit the ARB parts ..... Drop links etc in good order too? Be a good time to renew and forget...
