I went to remove the gearbox from my knackered m20 today and it seperated about an inch and a half and wont budge anymore.
Anyone else had this issue?

Is the engine and gearbox out of the car? If still in the car, try getting someone to pump the clutch pedal while you support the gearbox.

Rust on the gearbox input shaft as it goes through the clutch plate if it 's been stood a while. You may need to get medieval with it. Long screwdriver through the clutch pushrod hole and give it a few good wallops.
