So, I'm now on the verge of dropping the M50B25TU in the '90 316i and the last thing I need to sort out is the electric fan.

I've got a Nissens M40 radiator which has a blank plug on the driver side which I assume would be the place to house the switch and I've got a 14" SPAL Puller fan mounted on it. So far so good.

Now, I've dealt with many fans on smaller applications (computers and the likes) from small silent fans to industrial grade Delta fans. Logically any fan can have multiple speeds. So when picking up a switch should I pick a 2 speed switch and have it all or just go with a single speed switch? Or maybe is there something if overlooked?

Second question is, is there anywhere (online that ships to me, maybe) I could obtain the crimp parts, connectors and contacts mentioned on the wiki? I'm in Malta and getting these from the dealer would be almost scary.

I've never thought about having a toggle switch to change the trigger point. Makes sense in my scenario when you see what temperatures we get all year round (anywhere from 0C - 45C).

I can build you a plug & play fan loom if needed, uses blank fuse and relay spaces in the fusebox, works off a single switched sensor that turns on at 87° and off at 83°

Saving me this time again Dan? Are you sure you're not sent from heaven? :D

87 sounds good, I could just swap it with another sensor should I need to go lower anyway. Shall I pm you? There's no urgency for this one :)
