I've been digging through the archives and found a few old posts about this, which recommend using E34 adjusters instead of the E36 ones used in the Wiki.
Does anyone have experience of doing this mod, who would be able to give me a few pointers?
Convert headlight adjusters to electric?

Doh!
Should have read it properly, sorry.
What's wrong with the E34 adjusters?
Ben

E34 motors are (almost) a direct swap with the E30 hydraulic ones, if you disconnect the cylinders where they join their tripod like mounts. There's a small and obvious difference, which is equally obvious as to what the small mod. needed is. E36 motors need the bodge to their actuating rods detailed in the wiki article.
The interior control can be the home made one detailed in the article, or one from an E34 or E36.
The electrical circuit required is simple - just three wires connecting together the three pins on each motor and the controller, one of the wires earthed at any point you choose, and one of the other wires connected to ignition switched fused live.

That's handy info Brian, thanks. I'll give it a go and post the results.
