A nice 'sporty' sounding exhaust like a Scorpion or Eisenmann will be fine- nice burble on tickover and a howl at certain points in the rev-range if that's what you're after. A standard Bosal still sounds nice though. Your car isn't ratted/stanced and you're not 18...
When I bought the Sport from Andrew Dale it had a Bosal. Made an alright sound. The car drove like sh1t though. Andrew was saying was custom
Made blah blah. Sounds good in tunnels, narrow streets and reverbs nicely. Gets a few look too. Barry has heard it and thinks is "cheap and nasty" and baffles are worn.
Centre box is cracked now maybe by speed bump and sounds rubbish and doesn't feel that nice to drive. So an ideal opportunity to get new exhaust rather than just replace centre box.

A BTB mani is a proven hp gain and coupled to a full system must be a good prospect. Not the cheapest option by far but I only hear good things about them

Full BTB is too much money IMO for Sport
I think I would probably have just as much fun in Scorpion or Powerflow than full BTB setup
New Genuine Alpina (assuming they are available) are too much money
New Genuine BMW - too quiet and too much money £1300 from BMW Cotswold with Zone discount

Waste of money for this application.

I have a full scorpion on my Tech 1, sounds great, plenty loud enough. Only thing is the hangers they provide make the back box hang a couple of inches too low, so I need to get them modified slightly. Once they are done though the tips will tuck nicely into the bumpers recess and look pretty much standard with the 3" Le-mans tips.
I would recommend.
One other heads up, the downpipe will foul the steering rack if its not standard. This is how I found out my car has the E36 M3 rack fitted, possibly the worst one going!

The Z3 rack may be an exception, I think I remember it saying that on the wiki.

Does your exhaust reverb in tunnels, bridges, narrow streets, buses etc ?

I think there's ally to be said for a system that is o my loud when you want it to be. Mine sounds great on track and in tunnels but the constant drone at steady speeds gets old quickly, until you go deaf at least. It is also pretty antisocial if you set off for work early and there's no way of making a quiet exit from your street/road

A Zoner was telling me
That's Scorpion 3 piece exhaust system is too quiet
And to get straight through exhaust with
Either Scorpion back box or get The likes of Powerflow to make the exhaust then will sound much better and all the bitchez will look. Thoughts

What do you reckon the "bitchez" will be thinking as they look?
a) Wow, that loud exhaust is making me hot, I MUST meet the
owner of that car and give myself to him to use me as he
wishes.
b) What a dick.

I wouldn't want to drive a Ferrari with a whisper quiet exhaust it has to sound good. The same with a Porsche. The same with Sport. Recognise!!!!
A vehicle that sounds good adds to the enjoyment of driving it. And it feels good. I always loved the NA V10 F1 cars because they sounded so good and so LOUD. Just want to bring some aural pleasure to the Sport
I couldn't care less what anyone else thinks about whether I look a d1ck or not.

Go powerflow
Full system with a rear box and an x pipe by the gear box is what you need.

Powerflow boxes used to good but it all depended on who was knocking them up.
Top Gear has the franchise and they slowly moved to long life which are not as good

Forgot to ask .... For OEM tech1 sport tail pipes does anyone know what angle they slant at ? So I can get custom one to look OEM.
According to BMW the tail pipes are 60mm diameter.
Also were most have chrome tail pipe trim or black tail pipe trim ?
I find it bit odd 325i tail pipes are at an angle instead of straight out.
