With the user name "Jay" location Buckinghamshire with the typical trader "scenic" location, I doubt the car is nice.jimbom30cab wrote:Similar spec project car here

BMW and ignoring any tuner specials of which Alpina, Hartge are very few and far between.
When I was growing up (in my childhood) the Sport was the E30 to have. In the 1990s I saw lots of them slammed, tinted, with council exhausts and big stereos. In the 80s not that I remember many of them then but all the Yuppies had them and they would fit right in that OFAH Yuppy Love episode
I used to have a Corgi Tech1 Sport in white as kid. I think it was a Sport. I was aware of the M3. I brought (white) E30 M3 to "show and tell" and no joke some kid broke the rear spoiler. I was p1ssed. Lol.
The Sport is a "heroes" BMW driven by "heroes"
Don't believe me .... Have a look at what Andyboy/ Everret says about the Sport in the intro of his book

It's hibernating mate in a lock up garage. It's next in the que for a resto just as soon as i finished the Grey one. Currently planned for a January start as i want them both on the road for next summer.
Actually, it is taxed, MOT'd and insured so I could technically drive it......if i had the time !!

Well they guys wrong about electric roofs on a vert. They might be prone to malfunction, but they aren't that difficult so hardly to be avoided.
In actual fact, an electric roof is the one to have, because they are as cool as fook - when they work properly.

Shame about the silver grey cloth as well but it certainly looks better value than the £20k one.dusty23 wrote:This looks like a nice prospect albeit an auto

Been for sale for ages that one, and reduced in price.
It's more than likely the fact its auto.jimbom30cab wrote:Been for sale for ages that one, and reduced in price.
And despite being easy to do, no one would convert a low mileage minter to manual as it would effect its value.
oh maybe its hiding horrors then, I was a little sceptical that a reasonably low mileage car needed a respray but i guess it depends where it was keptjimbom30cab wrote:Been for sale for ages that one, and reduced in price.

Mine had a complete respray at approx 42k as the elderly original owner was a bit careless when parking it so it had various minor scuffs and scrapes despite being garaged from new.dusty23 wrote:oh maybe its hiding horrors then, I was a little sceptical that a reasonably low mileage car needed a respray but i guess it depends where it was keptjimbom30cab wrote:Been for sale for ages that one, and reduced in price.
I wanted it mint and as my work place at the time had a good body shop, i took advantage of the cheap labour rate!

It's a wrong'un, the dealer has quietly slipped in 'vcar registered' into the text. Slippery f0000ker !

I wanted low mileage / low owners / FBMWSH
Had to be manual and with OBC and all the toys
In hindsight I was too picky or should have got WLN example
Ended up with E46 323Ci what had been in the garage unused for 1 year even though I wanted an E30. This was after my first car the piston hit the spark plug. Seat Ibiza 1.0 P Reg.
I did just miss out on black texh1 for £3k
And tech2 sport black with heated seats. Might have the ad I printed out somewhere for £3-4k in 2006. Hence my join date in the Zone

Also the grey automatic sport on sale on ebay for just under 9k with low miles is a previous cat D. Spoke to the seller but has made no mention of it in his add.
