Evening all,
just recently I have noticed an almost 'guzzling' noise coming from behind the speedo when applying throttle on my 325i auto. Performance seems the same but it's certainly a new 'noise' any ideas or has anyone come across something similar?

Sure it's not coming from the steering wheel area? LH or RH drive? Any recent work on the car?

Yes it sounds as if it is coming from the steering column area. It's a RHD 325 Cab. No recent major work but had a full service around 500 miles ago.. Cheers

Steering shaft is hollow, with a bung at the bottom. If this bung falls out, it allows the shaft to conduct a strange noise into the cabin.
Standard cure is a blob of blu tack into the top of the shaft.
