I am stroking my m50b25 nv with M54b30 rotating assembly, but I want to go that one step further and turbo it too. My question is compression ratio's... Do I just follow the steps to turbo'ing a M54? Or do I have to do some sums for the M50? Any help would be great, cheers from the dirty south

It is not as easy as following instructions for an m54 as m50's have a 1mm lower deck height. AFAIK there is no out of the box solution, however I have done the calculations and found some Wiseco pistons that work and give an 8.7:1 compression ratio.
Got to ask yourself why though, a turbo m50 makes loads of power.

It was more to the point of being different to other M50 turbo's that's all! I see a lot of M50 turbo's on the web but not so many in the UK for a start, so I thought this would be a cool idea. Thanks for you're input anyway though dudes...
