Thinking of getting these bulbs for my clear front indicators as I don't want the yellow blob look.
Will they work or will they need the load resistors mentioned?
Also are they worth the extra couple of quid? I quite fancy the idea of not having to ever replace them....if it's true.

the philips silver ones seem to werk best to avoid the "fried egg" look, personally i dont like LED lights.

One thing is doesn't say on the advert, is that LED bulbs only emit light in one direction. (directly forward)
Since the E30 front indicator is offset at an angle. It might only ilumintate one side of the mirror. or worse, it might look crap.

There is a new sort of LED indicator light, that's made to emit the asme light pattern as a regular bulb. Google for it, as it's not on Ebay. Search LED automotive ligths and it'll be one of the major sites listed. You will need the resistor packs too. Tried fitting LED rear lights to my audi, but the resistors got very hot even on the indicators so gave it up as too risky. Maybe fronts would be OK as there's not much to catch alight in the engine bay as opposed to all the sound insulation in the boot of my audi.
