HI folks,

I have a problem with my central locking, and now can't get into my car !
The last time I used the lock on the drivers' door to close the car the key went all the way to the left and now it won't come back and open. The central locking only works from the driver's door since I had to replace my key - as the original one snapped.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

If you can't get in the car then you have a problem!
One way would be to order an original key for the car from the dealer, which I assume would fit the boot or the passenger door (if it's not deadlocked)

if its not deadlocked you may be able to wedge the door a little, be careful use a cloth or something and fit in some plastic tape or even wire and pull the lock up. Otherwise you can do similar and wind down a window using wire (the rear is usually easiest if you don't have a cab) Other than that you need to find the key code for the lock and get a key cut from code by a locksmith, which would be hard cause its not the original lock. Last option and from what I hear is expensive cause it takes a while, is to get a locksmith to pick the lock. Good Luck

Hi guys,

I put some Innotec yesterday and it seems to be working, although I am not sure if it was this what solved it or the fact that I have been trying incesantly to open it with the key. Before I posted this thread I read somewhere in the forum archives that by keep trying the lock ends up opening.

I can count myself VERY LUCKY :locked:

Thanks for the replies fellas, they were helpful too :thumb:
