Hi all. Picked up an OEM hard top over the weekend and started using the demister. However since it rained hard it's started blowing fuse 8 whenever I press the demister button - which doesn't even light up. I tried a 40 amp fuse for a few seconds. Still no light and when I removed the fuse it was hot.

Anyone got a diagram of the circuit or some tips?

Thanks a‘a

Ok so I've taken the roof off and tried the old school hairdryer style demister and although it's not blowing fuses like the hard top, it's not working at all.

*confused*

Its more than likely the connection that the hardtop has to make through the mounting pin, and the hardtop preparation on the car.

To bypass the possible problem, and to test where it is take the 2 female spade connectors off the pin assembly, and make yourself a short lead like the one below, connect and try again.
