I have an option to get these re-trimmed seats for my Hartge restoration project. Can you let me know your opinion on the quality of the work?
Thanks in advance!

Looks a bit baggy to me. Especially the head rest.
Upper bolsters are also out of shape but that's down to saggy foams.

Do you mean the black one? With the car being black, ideally need a different colour!

Yes, especially if you want a certain colour. So the best option is to go to someone like B-Trim?

Came across tonyarcher.co.uk on another, maybe worth a look into. Otherwise B-Trim is more than likely a safe bet, never heard anything bad about their work. Would have used them myself but they quoted me more than I paid for my car which I just cannot justify...

They do not look great and imagine them after a few miles have been put on them.

Ok guys, going with your advice and I wasn't happy with it anyway.
Already spent a lot on the car so can't let the interior down!
Thanks Rav, I spoke to John at bespoke leathering and he is very knowledgable & helpful. His work looks great but doesn't come cheap though.

What are his prices then?
Besides, it think you're an example of "in for a penny, in for a pound" with this resto.

I know, I spent more on it than the M3 or Alpina!
Depending on the options you are looking at £2.5k +
Problem is the interior is even more important on the convertible when the roof comes down!

I prefer cardinal red but doesn't matter too much as I will have it fully renovated.

Elan, it'll be hard to find a decent red interior, but I agree with you its the best colour for you car. I'll see what I can find.

As above, that's a poor retrim. Why would you put new leather over rotten foam? You wouldn't do it if you were rebuilding a chair for your living room. Stitching is also basic throughout and the leather's been folded and shaped badly round the corners. It's also an inappropriate leather to use - I think it's intended to be stretched and held under light tension in the finished chair, which is why it looks dull and saggy. Also, some of the work looks lazy. You could make them look a whole lot better just by repositioning the covers carefully on the frames, though there's not much you can do about the stitched panels which aren't quite right.
Avoid.

It was done by a guy who specialises in old calssic cars and not well known (including me). I am not going with these seats though!
I am also considering getting it done by a ex B-Trim employee.
