hi, my headlights are both insecure/broken..
I think the adjuster is broken as the lights just move up and down
Is there any way of fixing the lights into place so i can get the car through the mot?

Mot just requires the aim to be correct. It makes no comment on how this is achieved.
I came across one fully ticketed E30 where the headlamps were siliconed, quite neatly, to the grill. Fine tuning, to raise them a little, can be achieved by a few concrete blocks in the boot.
The parts that have failed will most likely be the small plastic cups where the adjusters fit into the headlamp rims.

I was thinking silicone but I wasn't too sure if they needed to be free for adjustment, thanks for clearing that up for me
