Tom, the car looks great. Despite feeling slow I don't suppose you have any performance figures with the car in it's current state. I'd be interested to know how the standard motor performs with all the weight taken out...

James.
Hi James,
I haven't got any performance figures so to speak, but run a mk6 golf gti as my daily which is about neck and neck in a straight line with the e30.
I will be changing the m20 over the winter though.
Unfortunately one of the securing pins broke within the pinion for the steering rack and the steering locked on whilst going round a corner. It happened late morning so that was my day over. Fortunately though it was on one of the slowest parts of the track and the car is still in one piece.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.
getting oral sex off an ugly person is like rock climbing.....don't look down ;)
Got the car fixed and out again last night at Brands.
Slippery to start off, however there was a dry(ish) line towards the end of the session and had a good play with this Escort Cosworth and Van, which was apparently running a 1jz.
Cracking day on Saturday at Bedford. Cooked my front pads though so a quick trip to a local motor factors to get some replacements at Lunchtime to get back out - OE quality pagids aren't quite as good as ds3000's!
The car felt a little under powered so put it on the diagnostics yesterday and it needs a new camshaft sensor so will do the crankshaft sensor at the same time.
A few photos from the day:
Had a puncture right at the end of the day, so popped back on my road wheels which only have T1R's and not as much grip as the AO48's.
Only bits of footage that came out were when my mate was driving - who's also the one with the high pitched laugh / scream:
I recently had the car put on a hub dyno after changing the crank and camshaft sensors - I was chuffed with the results, making mid 220's for both bhp and lbft.
I haven't been back out on track of late but hope to get in one more day before the end of the year, especially as I've just picked up some toyo r888r's.
Most recent venture out with the car was Retro Rides Gathering which was a cracking day and good to meet some other zoners too.
