Well, so far all I've had is low offers for the touring that would suggest the buyers intend to break it so I may as well consider doing that myself. From looking through the classifieds on here and sold items on ebay it seems the following would sell... suspension and brakes, front wings, sunroof panel, headlamps, abs pump / ecu, steering wheel, fuel tank, filler neck, instrument cluster.
I'll probably keep the engine ancillaries for myself if they're the same as my cabby, but what else would you guys suggest keeping? The front doors and the bonnet ars good, are they worth keeping to sell?

I may be greedier than most BUT I would not bother fragging a low spec four pot turd. Selling it complete for Ca £300 sounds like a better idea, and when you factor the hassle / WORK /time/scrap everywhere/ "how much posted?" aggro , the £300 sounds like a really good idea !

Although I do frag 4 cyl tourings, they are hard work and have to be cheap.
Stew, I'd have had this if you were closer. But I simply do not have time to make the journey.

Problem is some of the offers haven't even been close to £300.
I've conservatively worked out that it shouldn't be to much trouble getting £400-500 in parts, I'm not bothered in selling every last bit I can take off I don't want that level of hassle and certainly wouldn't consider posting stuff for the sake of a few quid.

As somebody who does this on a regular basis, you will have your work cut out drawing £500 out of a zero spec 4 pot turd !

Surely, the aluminium front wishbones (assuming they are still fitted) are priceless artefacts though?

Not on a four pot. Only 325 Tourings had them and most of them are long gone.

Oh, I was under the impression all Tourings had the fabled superior suspension setup.

I think that'll be the plan which is a shame as it seems a solid shell. Apart from the parts I mentioned in the first post, is there anything else that I should consider saving?Andyboy wrote:Cut the catalyst off, remove a few easily unboltable morsels and send it across the bridge.
