I know there's a few E39 owners on here, looking for what I am told is a MTECH 1 front spring for a 2002 on a 52 plate 530i M Sport. It's for someone else and I know next to nothing about e39's, apparantly there is tech 1 and tech 2 type springs.

Has anyone got one spare it's needed to quickly get the car through an MOT so it can be served and the private plate transferred.

Dan how much you looking for them? I would reckon they would be the same as a petrol 6 pot.

Would need to be posted to ayr, ayrshire, Scotland.

Forget the diesel Petrol thing. Will a 330d spring fit a 5 series?

Well spotted Trev, have PM'd dan to confirm. Hopefully that's just a typo.

Simon do you have any info on the weight difference? I wouldn't have thought there would be much in it to be honest.

Yeah I did mean to type 530d

Will it really make much difference? They are old and well compressed, might bring the car back up to factory height at the most?

Hopefully won't make much difference to someone that buys it. The car itself looks tidy but has sat for 2 years on sorn as he currently has a few cars and this one wasn't needed.

As long as it drives fine on them and passes an MOT it will be straight up for sale and someone else can change them if they like.
