Rear lights!?????

Does any1 know if these light look ok?
Is there a cover missing off the right hand cover or are they ment to be like that??

They are pre-facelift lamps I think. It looks like there is no circuit in the one on the right. Do you notice any difference between them ?

Looks like they are different year produced or different makes but should work ok.

I have a pair of pre-facelift backs, if you need one/a pair.

I have little experience of pre facelift lights, but there are at least three different makes and design of lamp holder assembly used for post facelift lights fitted to E30s, and the holders in your pic. are of similar construction to two of them.
I have found a considerable difference in reliability between the different versions, with (as far as I can see from your small pics.), the most reliable being the one on the right, and the left hand one being the least reliable.

I did not think the plastic bumpered cabriolets were fitted with prefacelift lights?
Or has this been tech 2 kitted at some point in its life?

The variation you see in your tail lights is very similar to the variation in E21 lights, If they both work don't worry about it.
