Hoping someone can give me a quick answer as the wife has just rang with a bit of a prob. She had just put the electric hood back up and was raising the electric windows with the engine running when suddenly the car cut out. She tried to start it up again but the car is totally non responsive when she turns the key - completely dead. So car is stuck with 3 of the 4 windows down meaning it can't be left where it is! Please help!

It's a 91 318i convertible...

I initially thought that but could the battery just suddenly die in that way when operating a leccy window? Battery is only a couple of months old too?

She called out breakdown service and they've sorted it. Was a loose battery terminal. Haven't told her it must be me forgetting to tighten it back up after installing new head unit the other week :o:
