Hi guys got a couple of questions
Firstly has anyone used e92 top hats to get the front to sit a little lower. Supposedly It drops is another 10mm that's all I need.
Second my abs is playing up braking is fine but the light is on I think I have narrowed it down to the front left I've replaced the sensor but I have a feeling the breaker gave me a right one. Still light on.
I have two options either try to fix it or ditch the abs altogether, before the bay gets painted. Is the abs worth keeping or get rid??
Cheers kam

Does the ABS light come on AND stay on when you turn on the ignition OR come on with the ignition, go off, then come back on once you go over 10Mph......

It's off when I start. Then comes on when I go over 10 mph and stays on.
I spun each wheel individually the front passenger triggers the light.

Stick a multimeter on 20V AC , connect it to the plug coming from the sensor and see if it creates a voltage. The faster you spin the wheel the higher the voltage should go.

Whats wrong with the front? The rear could do with raising up.

Are you serious?? The back sits perfect!! I'm not a purist or what ever you call it. I don't want..... car should not be ob anything bigger than 16s and not lowered more than 40mm.
Just want to know if anyone has done this method before.

'Purist' has nothing to do with it. If you want a car that handles well, then the suspension needs to work, and it won't do that properly with the unsprung mass from wheels greater than 16", or the messed up suspension angles from excessive lowering.
Front ABS sensors are handed, and the wrong one will give close to zero output.

I'm gonna try to get hold of another sensor as the one I have I think is the wrong side.
Tbh I like the way my car drives and looks don't care what everyone else says. I take it to shows, people like it! Ok fine I have lots of neg camber because I have lowered it. So what.

Never tried it, but you should be able to test by removing the fixing screw and turning the sensor through 90 degrees

Because you have very little contact patch with the road, and what you have is with the very edge of the tyre, plus other angles, etc. wrong.

There is not the slightest chance of me ever going somewhere that has modified Wolfsburg scrap on display. There's German engineering done to a standard, and there's German engineering done to a budget!

My point exactly.
You wouldn't understand.
If you do decide to change your old ways take a trip to players show Harlow and you will see the standard of cars there.

if running that low best to use an adjustable coilover setup so you can have useable suspension travel

I've got a set fitted & had no problems with them at all,
A cheap, simple mod to do, saves buying new springs if you want to go from a 40mm drop to nearly 60mm drop.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

Not sure if you noticed this before, but on e30's the front arch is actually higher then the rear arch, giving the illusion that the car may be sitting too high at the front.

I don't think your cars actually sat as low as people are making out, it looks like the 17s are deceving as they sit the rim edge higher in the arch.
Personally I agree the rear needs to come up 5mm ish. These things always look better with a little bit of rake.

Ah ok, I just remember seeing 5 & 10mm pad fillers (iirc?) when I looked at this ages ago but didn't know if that was for more or less drop. Could've been for something else though as I am a bit of a f*cktard when it comes to things like this!!

When I got mine I got the 5mm pads to give it a bit more drop,
Not had any problems in the past year or so I've had them on the car.
Also, if you want to drop it a little bit more you could use thinner pads on the bottom aswell.

Kool, are the pads a separate thing to order or is there a choice of top hats with pads? And what would the bottom pads be under? Apologies for the questions, as I mentioned above I'm a mong with stuff like this. When I went to order these ages ago the bloke at the dealers needed numbers instead of my vague descriptions so I ended up leaving empty-handed
