Yes used him a couple of times as well... not a bad bunch, but a pain in the ass if you have to leave your car for a few days, as Hayes is basically Emmerdale farm.

Most garages don't like finishing other peoples work.

You mean you didnt like the quote....

Its not difficult to get an M52 running right, start with a check for fault codes, pretty much any garage can do this for under £40

Agreed with looking at the vehicle before
But flat battery, recovery truck would be only way to get it to there's

They quoted £1k I think for rear bushes, rear axle and FR strut
I think Insp 2 was like £400
And they were slow to get back to me but I think one of them was on annual leave or something

It's not like you've asked for a service on a run of the mill car.

Any trades such as a builder, plumber, electrician would inspect prior to quoting work for a customer so why should the motor trade be any different if required.

I would say, you probably chatted as much waft as you do on here and thought they'd give you a wide birth.

Ps I saw an m3 cs the other day for sale - it was 11k.

I can understand then wanting to see the vehicle before hand
Fair enough
I gave them a specific list of things I wanted done
Thre prices were more expensive than others and for reasons they explained and they were terrible at getting back to me
I had someone with more experience and cheaper lined up anyway just wanted to see others prices

As for your talking "waft and wide birth" comment wind your neck in mate!

PS
I have seen E46 M3 CS selling for £20k several in fact :-)

I too found their communications slow when I was trying to get a remap.

Had to wait about 2 hours for him to arrive too on the day, despite having booked in advance.

Didn't make the power claimed either, although that could be the car's fault (remapped at around 200,000 miles - possibly original turbo). (And I still get EGR errors, despite asking to have it mapped out.)

Did prove helpful in pointing out a few issues with the car though that I hadn't spotted (where my coolant leak was, very slightly leaky rocker cover and a failing engine mount).

A. "Crazy burnouts" waft in my book.

B. I'm not a tortoise.

C. When are going to get some pictures and videos up of drifting your 'sport classic 325i'?
