Forgive my ignorance guys, am new here, is there a great deal of difference in trying to fit the E36 M3 engine in a LHD or RHD E30? Is there a link explaining it all? Thanks, Lee

Fitting an S50 into a LHD E30 is slightly easier as the exhaust manifolds don't need as much modding to fit - they still need work though.
Other than that, I believe its pretty much the same.

Using an S50 from a LHD E36 (or at least the engine loom) does make the wiring slightly easier, as the E36 ECU switches sides between LHD and RHD - the ECU is always on the passenger side. This means a LHD S50 loom will put the ECU in the standard location on an E30, so no need to unpick/untangle the loom to make it fit.
