Stops your windows going up and down...
"Whatever you do... DON'T press it!"

Sounds like that's what it is, but what's it doing above the clock?

Yeah, mine's got one of them (on a C-reg). I didn't dare press it when I first got the car for fear that it might trigger some ancient immobiliser or something

Its actually a thermal trip switch so if the window or the sunroof in some cases gets jammed it should pop out thus saving your electric motors. wouldnt rely on it though. mine now used as an electric areial switch.

Aah, that explains why it's not marked up and also why it's not very nice to use compared to the others. Did wonder why a 2 door car would need a switch to disable the windows.

While we are on this topic, can anyone tell me what the button down beside the gearstick and in front of the driver side electric window button does?

Sounds like the button mentioned above, it's a cut off switch for the windows. Just in a different place to the one above.MarkP wrote:While we are on this topic, can anyone tell me what the button down beside the gearstick and in front of the driver side electric window button does?

Same banana dude... Like Andy said, different places for different age cars.
I've got my electric window switches in my side blank panels above where the radio should go in my track car, as I have no centre console to hold them in.... so buttons can fit anywhere really...
