Sorry in advance for the pants description.
Where the barrell key lock mates with the main door closure mechanism. The U part of the barrell sits between two fingers of the main mech, on mine these "fingers" hold no resistance and move up and down doing nothing.
The central locking dosen't work either and wondered whether it's because the main mech is buggered.

Hi,

Im no expert on this but I have had problems with mine in past.

If the central locking dosnt operate at all (try moving solinoid in door by hand and the rest of doors should activate) If they do not work at all check & test the contector that goes through the door pillar, I believe these are bad for moister and can fail.

When my lock failed I found it to be a very small lug on the sprung part of the lock that had snapped off , It was very hard to see but when I removed lock and looked it was broken and I had to replace part of the lock.

Just a couple things to try,

cheers eRgal, central locking works when moved by hand so will have to get lock out and have a look. Nice job!
