Gettin all the parts together for my m52b28 conversion, I have everything apart from the sump. I was told that I can get the sump that's on the engine cut. As in the back of the sump cut off and a box section welded to the front. Would this be possible?

Why not use a sump, dipstick and pick up pipe from an E34 M50?

Plenty about, but most are holding out for mega money. New dealer supplied sumps will be reasonable soon the way its going

Yeah I've found that one on ebay I just don't wanna pay out £220 for a sump. I can get mine modified for around £80. I would prefer to get a original one, and would pay upto £140 it just seems sourcing on for a reasonable price. Hoping to get it in and running this weekend
