How many owners and how many miles ?Andyboy wrote:I love the GT2 moniker. Only it isn't, it's just an Evo in a non standard colour - I'm not sure BMW call them GT2. The proper GT's were the original BRG cars and I can see one of those being 20 odd grand because they were pretty special.
The four door cars are the ones to have IMO, there's a 1998 R reg individual (ex Bracknell) near me in Impala brown metallic. It's totally straight, original and it's not 22 grand - around a quarter.

No idea on owners but it's done over 100k. Not an investment car but it shows what's lurking.

Yeah but that GT2 is desireable. BMW officially called these "Imola individuals" not gt2s

10 grand, 11/12 at a push. It's an E36 and they just aren't rare or old enough to be classics - yet.

i don't think they will be? Great cars but they don't tug at the heart strings like other 3 series have or do. For me its the slightly drab looks and they're not quite as exciting as e30/e46 to push on in

They're on the way to classicdom. There are a few really nice ones around here and they stand out. E46's just don't.

When these were New they looked the business
As Pacer would say quite a few "eddies" in Ilford had these new back in the day
Even in posh boy white ville Loughton loads of people had E36 M3 Evolutions, 993s, MGFs, Boxsters, Range Rovers
Then for a long time 2000 -2014 they just reminded me of as they say in Zone lingo "council, scummers, vermin, bruvved up Eddie, slammed, Gs, drug dealers etc"
Only now they kind of getting cool again
I know there is an old boy in the BMW Car Club and his family has 3x E36 M3 Evolutions Coupe, Saloon, Convertible (including the daughter)

I hate the e36 saloons. I can't rationalise it, just dislike em.
Do like the tourings tho?
