Where does everyone source their replacement coolant piping/hoses from?
Ebay seems to stock either a dozen different brands of the water pump to stat pipe... or those cheap Chinese sets for 80 quid.
ECP, CP4L etc. all only have one radiator pipe.
And the dealers sell the pipes for an average price of £35. With the cost of this overhaul already through the roof, replacing 6-7 pipes at that price is going to result in me releasing equity on the non existent house that I own.
Any help please

OEM is the only way to go. They last years and years and the cooling systems are critical on these. No compromise should be made really.
Every car I see, mostly still has it's original hoses. All showing little or no signs of issues. The only one I've ever renewed was a top hose that was chaffed by the fan on an M20 due to lack of a retaining clip!

Thanks Trev, it says in the wiki that if you're doing the cambelt change, change all the hoses as well, as they're all coming off.
But yeah seeing as this isnt a £40 for the lot job, I'll go with what you're saying and leave it

The hose tucked between the cylinder head and the bulkhead that goes from the cylinder head to the lower heater stub pipe is the one to keep an eye on and change, if any. It lives in a hostile environment, and is not readily on view like the ones at the front.B7 wrote: The only one I've ever renewed was a top hose that was chaffed by the fan on an M20 due to lack of a retaining clip!

It's the pipe that goes to 15 on here. Brians right, it's in the hottest end of the bay. But as for the rest? I've yet to see a perished or badly swollen one.

lets put it like this. I started saving all the pipes but ran out of the space on the shelf. Never sold a single one.
