Just seen this in the flesh...........Epic.

A credit to all the hard work, problem solving and no doubt moments of dispair!!!

I know its a cliche, but the pictures just don't do it justice.

Makes a nice noise too, funnily enough :D

Oh and don't forget my shotgun ride either, when she's all done :P

thanks byron
good to see you again....hopefully i'll stay longer next time :D

car performed brilliantly on the way home.
we had an 'encounter' with a honda blackbird........
it was a long uphill dually, with a long left hand bend, he was leaning further and further over...and was getting smaller and smaller in my mirror :D .
on the next stretch (a long straight) we were rapidly into mental figures when my brother reeled me back in 8). the next stretch was uphill also.....he was a fading image in my mirror again.

yes, still have it andy.

i dont see me selling it anytime soon, although i've had a few offers off a couple of zoners.

i'll get some better pics up once the weather breaks and i can get it out and about.

i ordered and collected some side-skirt clips and grommets the other day, and was told i had the last ones that were in the country and that germany had none left...i dont know how true that was..?

i've also got a set of 3 piece staggered hartge alloys here that i need to have new tyres fitted to, so i can put them on the car.

its fast, andy 8O

It looks fast standing still ! Top job, still wondering what to drop into mine. E30 parts I suppose are only going to get rarer but I think if bmw get enough orders they'll make more parts, its a shame new body shell s arent available.

If new shells are made like all the recent reproduction parts for the M3 by BMW, then I wouldn't be rushing to buy one thats for sure!

Looks great Glen!

I just thought I would post a few up to date pics and update what has been done to the car, I have refitted the original back lights and clay barred and machine polished the car.

I changed the fuel tank, I brought a new e30 and a second hand M5 tank and all new hoses and fittings, a new flange was fabricated and welded to the top of the tank to allow the fitting of the twin M5 pumps.

The propshaft centre bearing had succumbed to the v10, it started out as a £15 bearing replacement but I decided to have a strengthened custom built prop made for £375 :o

I have repaired / replaced the interior trim as necessary and cleaned the carpets and fitted new mats, I have also re-dyed the seats with gliptone scuffmaster. I made some switches to control the 400 / 500 bhp selection and cooling fan operating / override

I have worked through the cars electrics and repaired / replaced as necessary, a few minor things are still not working but I will get it sorted.

I am currently fitting a servo delete kit utilising a Wilwood bias pedal box, I will post a few pics here and do a better write up in the members section.

I have also changed the speedo to account for the diff change, fixed the fuel gauge so it reads correctly and connected the low coolant and low washer bottle check panel indicators.

Still lots to do, I am thinking of fitting a Bilstein b12 suspension kit and I want to refurb the wheels and paint the centres silver amongst other things.

Do you have space in the access panel for the new welded on flange?

the access panel covered half of the 'm5' flange Andrew, so I had increased the access hole enough to get the m5 cap off...just about.

As Glenn said the floor had to be cut a bit, I have modified the access panel so it fits over the m5 bits and protects them from the seat.
