Hi all, I've got a pretty big water leak in the passenger side boot tray where the jack and wheel chock goes.

At first I thought it might have been the boot seal, but today I was driving to working it wasn't raining but the roads were wet. When I arrived the boot pocket had a lot of water in and it appeared to be running down the seam between the wheel arch and bodywork panel. I have checked my arch for cracks, sprayed it with a pressure but no leak.

Any suggestions?

Luckily it hasn't rusted yet, what you can see on the pic is mud and dirt!

I've the same. I think mine possibly leaks from the aerial seal but i'm yet to diagnose that 100%.

Would be interesting to hear any suggestions for this issue.

Check the rear light gasket.

Ok so I spent about six months on a similar issue.

Changed boot seals, rear light seals etc.

Mine turned out to be coming from a slight gap in that black side vent/block wire. Brought some black sealant from Halfords for a fiver and sealed the area totally. Not seen a leak since.

I don't think its the rear light seal. If you look at the picture you can see the dirty residue left behind from the water running down the seem of the arch :?

Will get a new boot and aerial seal and see what happens

I have a cabriolet, so am not certain about this, but have heard that the plastic trim on the C pillar can leak, I think.

Talcum powder the area you will know for sure. Mine leaked by the rear light seal, the aerial grommet and the seal around the vent needed replacing. All satisfying easy cheap jobs :D

After yesterdays down pours I know its running down the inside seem of the wheel arch down into the p/s boot tray. But I can't see anywhere else where the water is coming from!! :?

Its not wet about the rear light seal, neither the aerial, or the vent.

Could it be the rear glass seal? But wouldn't I have a wet parcel shelf too

I had the same leak (and still do in my new one!) mine was creeping up under the seal and gathering on the roof of the boot and dripping down. I lined the inside of the seal with silicone which stopped that.

It was also coming in through the aerial. I silicone'd the aerial in place (probably not advised procedure) and then attached a small rubber hose from the nipple at the bottom into the black vent as it seemed water was running through the aerial (aerial didn't work) despite the silicone at the top. That stopped it completely.

I was getting water in my boot until I fitted this drain from the aerial out of the car

Do you have a sunroof? If so, slide it back and use curtain wire or bike brake cable to clear out the drain pipes - use water from a hose to help rinse them through.
