you need the appropriate chip for it to be worth anything and its not gonna be much anyway. IMO the world has moved on from this mod which was never very effective, it is so 2005...

Yer agree, I tried it without a chip and had massive bore wash leading to no compression. If you can get a matching chip or good map then it will give some more noticeable power.

heaps of people have use bigger injectors and not bore washed them that isn't the problem, its the fact the calibration is wrong

Why the need for bigger injectors anyway?

Unless you're going with some kind of forced induction, then the stock injectors are more than sufficient to cover the engine's demands, even with a BBTB, upgraded filter and cam in the mix.

If you're having performance issues, best to have the standard injectors cleaned by Injector-tune here on the forum.

for the M30 AFM, make sure you get the one ending in 027. The other part number needs to be fiddled with to get it "set" properly, not so much plug-n-play.

Someone I know dyno tested just the injectors and MAF "upgrade" and got a whopping 6 peak horsepower. I ran the injector/AFM setup with a BMP chip on my 2.8 stroker and will say it was noticeable.

I have a awesome chip done by dmcl on here. Mapped very well

I am contemplating a m30 afm and bigger injectors, and whether it is worthwhile just doing the m30 afm without injectors. Thanks for reply

Yes you can do just the bigger afm but it myst be mapped right otherwise too much air is getting in and power drops off up the rev range

i had mine custom tuned with M30AFM and getting rid of it (replaced with a pipe) going to standalone made huge difference to midrange torque on a stroker engine didnt seem to gain much peak power though
