ive got an e28 525e with a what i believe is blown headgasket/ cracked head, the coolant system is completely filled with gunk..

i heard you can use a 325i head with 325i inlet and throttle body, is this true? also what ecu should i use? can i still use the 525e one or should i try to find a pre-facelift 325i ecu? also is there anything else i would need?

just need pointing in the right direction really
