had a lot of oil in throttle body, afm and filter yesterday, I noticed it on the air filter heat shield. I cleaned it off, went for a roar down the round and same result. Took inlet manifold off and found oil in ports 4,5 &6. Cleaned everything today, refitted rocker cover, carb cleaned throttle body and used some "blue" gasket sealant between it and the manifold, refitted IVC and AFM and now no oil??????? Car now purrs like a kitten, but is somewhat lacking in power as the K&N cone filter is sodden with oil. Can anyone explain this?

how do I cure this, I did about 6 mile round trip today and the oil is back. I took the afm off and it's full of oil. Is it something to do with the crankcase vent tube. Can it do any damage?

The crankcase vent hoses collapse over time and can become blocked. Best to order a new one from the dealer. Once it's fixed, give your filter a good clean or replace it as this will totally rob you of power.DazzyA wrote:how do I cure this, I did about 6 mile round trip today and the oil is back. Thanks Adam, will order one tomorrow, put the standard air box on earlier and seemed better, put a new oil filter on last weekend, but someone said they should only be put on hand tight? Will it be ok to use till the weekend if I keep the oil topped up?

crankcase vent hose? I thought this was the spring mounted tube, I was wrong wasn't I? It is the breather hose on the rocker cover yes?
