If anyone wants to earn a few bob and fix my autogear box oil leak, drop me a PM.
Had a tedious day calling every underqualified mobile mechanic in London and got no where.
Based in South West London/Surrey.

It's just a seal that's gone, so a new gearbox shouldnt be neccesary. Thanks anyway

I was trying to edge away from garages with this one because of their overheads. Was trying to wriggle out of paying crazy money just to change a seal. But looks like it isnt going to happen. Owning an E30 is bloody expensive if you arent a mechanic!

Simple solution to that. Buy some tools, roll your sleeves up, and get your hands dirty. You have the zone to guide you.Mitchen wrote: Owning an E30 is bloody expensive if you arent a mechanic!
I appreciate that there are some out there who have absolutely nowhere to work on cars, and there's a few who shouldn't be let within a metre or two of a tool box, but for the rest of you - get stuck in!

For me that's what the zone is all about. If you have look through some build threads you'll see people working on their cars in all sorts of cramped places.

Yep another shout out for bss325i and pacerpete
bss325i resurrected the Sport which had not been driven in 2 years carrying out BMW Inspection II Service, MOT and finishing off all the mechanicals.
Pacer fixed a few gremlins since then.
They usually have a waiting period though because so busy.
Another mechanic worth giving a go is BMS Surrey, Leatherhead. They have a website and owned / run by BMW Master Technician. Their prices seem reasonable enough. They have a website too. I should add I haven't used them before.
