hi people
i am very confused regarding engine capacity of a e36 325tds
now im lead to beleive these are 2.5 litre 6 cylinder engines
however i am currently buying one and when i have done the hpi report or even a dvla vehicle check it is saying the car is 2000cc not 2500cc
can this be a mistake
it clearly states on the log book 325 tds

First two numbers of the engine type number (machined area, low down on the LH side of the block) indicate the capacity. I.E 20 = 2 litre, 25 = 2.5 litre.
