Leaky valve.

Have strimmed the centre console etc.

The three torx screws holding matrix in place have been removed and two 8mm nuts that looks as if they attach to the valve to the matrix.

BUT now im totaly stuck!

Image

The screw pictured in the middle looks as if its attaching the valve to the matrix, is inaccessabile by the spring assembly on the left. I think that is the only screw left, and once out will allow the valve to slide out.

any tips?!

I cant see the image on my phone (don't ask why stupid windows phone) but if its the one I'm thinking of i used a small torx bit and an appropriate sized spanner to slowly unscrew. The hard parts getting it back in......

No screws holding the matrix should have been removed.
The part of the brake linkage bracket screwed to the transmission tunnel is a mod. that was introduced in the middle of E30 production to improve RH drive brake feel, and explains the bad accessibility to the screw in question,
Use a 1/2" long screwdriver bit of the sort that fits into a hex. holder for use with cordless drills etc., and turn it with an open ended spanner. Use a hex. headed self tapper instead of the original when you refit.
Bolts holding the valve facing the bulkhead are undone/done up using a 1/4" drive socket extension pushed through the rubber grommet from the engine bay.
Tape the small square nuts in place when you refit.
