To get my touring through its MOT, I need to replace the control arms, whilst I'm there I'm putting M3 lollipop bushes in.

A year back (again to get it through its MOT) I replaced a leaking steering rack, upgrading to an E46 067, along with new track rod assembles and drop links.

My question is.. is it worth putting new anti roll bar bushes in? I ultimately am collecting parts for an entire refurb underneath (suspension, brake and fuel lines, prop bearing etc) which I had hoped to do all in one hit. But seeing as most of the bushes are new now on the front, would leaving the old tired anti roll bar bushes on put more strain on the new bushes?

If you need to do the control arms then you'll be unbolting the anti roll bar from it anyway. There's very little extra work to then do the ARB bushes and fit the Ford Mondeo links (check the Wiki), so you might as well do it.

People often comment how much tighter the front end feels once this is done, but it might be all in the head.
