Sun visor panel

Hi guys, just fitted a plastic panel in my 2 door that runs across the width of the headlining where the sun visors sit. (The bit that also contains the check control display). The issue I have is to do with the fact that I have a manual sunroof and now the panel is fitted the winding handle is too deep and can't be turned. Anyone come across this before and know if it is solvable? Cheers
