Hi guys, so when i bought my car they came with them ugly DEPO angel eyes, so i now have bought some genuine bosch lamps to go in the car. The wiring in the car has been modified for the angel eyes i believe, so when i now plug my lamps in and turn the headlight switch for sidelights only, i also get my dipped beam on? Shouldn't it be first pull - sidelight second pull- dipped beam and sidelight? any ideas, i have looked at the diagrams but can't make too much sense.
Thanks
Headlight wiring

E30s around '88 - '89 have dim dip driving lights, where the dipped beams come on at half brightness when the ignition is on and the lighting switch is in the first position.
Do you get the dipped beams on with the ignition off?

If you really want to disable the feature (essential if you convert to HID), there are two round two pin plugs and sockets near the front of the LH inner wing. All you need to do is simply pull both of these connectors apart.
